
Walnut vanilla smoothie
(makes 2 portions)
INGREDIENTS

1 tblsp flax meal

¾ cup walnuts

half fresh avocado

1 cup almond milk
-
1 tblsp peanut butter
-
1/2 tsp cinnamon
-
2 tsp vanilla essence
-
3 dates chopped
-
3 ice cubes
-
1 cup water
-
Maple syrup (optional for extra sweetness)
METHOD

Chop the dates into small pieces and in a mug add a little hot water so they can soak for a little while

Next add all the ingredients to a blender and whizz on high speed until well blended and creamy, if it seems too thick you can always add a little more water

If you have a big sweet tooth you might like to add a little maple syrup to the mix

Pour out into glasses and add a few ice cubes, and for decoration a walnut and a sprinkle of cinnamon
