Turmeric milk

INGREDIENTS

Turmeric paste:

  • Turmeric powder

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • cold water

 

The drink:

  • Honey

  • Almond milk

  • Turmeric paste

 

METHOD

  1. For the paste mix together the powder, pepper and water to form a paste

  2. Once paste is made this can be stored in the fridge for about 3 weeks and use some each time you make the drink

  3. To make the drink, fill a mug with half almond milk and pour into frying pan (I add half mug hot water to it afterwards, but you can have the whole mug almond milk if you prefer)

  4. Add 1/2 tsp of the turmeric paste to the pan and turn the heat on meadium to mix and heat up the milk and paste

  5. Once heated pour into a mug and squeeze a little honey into the mug

  6. Then I top up the mug with hot water (optional)
