Peanut satay sauce

(serves 4)


  • Half white onion

  • 2 tsp chilli flakes

  • 2 cloves of garlic, crushed

  • 2/3 cup peanut butter (100%) 

  • 1tblsp honey 

  • 200ml coconut milk

  • 1½ tblsp soy sauce 

  • pinch of blac pepper and salt



  1. Roughly chop the onion and add to a bowl which can be used with a hand blender

  2.  Peel the garlic and add to the bowl too, next add the rest of the ingredients

  3. blend until everything is mixed well, then scoop out into a frying pan and heat or 5 minutes

  4. I fit is too thick you can thin it with extra coconut milk or hot water

  5. Stir well and pour into a few small bowls to serve.
