Herby marinated tuna steaks with mushrooms and feta


  • 1/4 cup Orange juice (about half an orange)

  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp Olive oil

  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp Honey

  • 2 tsp parsley

  • ½ tsp Garlic, minced

  • 1/2 tsp Oregano

  • 1/2 tsp ground Black pepper

  • 1 Tuna Steak

  • 6 small mushrooms

  • 1 tblsp butter

  • feta cheese

  • 1/4 red pepper

  • 2 tsp balsamic vinegar



  1. In a large dish, mix together the orange juice, soy sauce, olive oil, lemon juice, honey, parsley, garlic, oregano, and pepper. Place the tuna steaks in the marinade and turn to coat. Cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. While thats marinating, chop the mushroom in thirds and palce in a pot with butter, balsamic and black pepper,  cook for about 5 minutes until soft and tender

  3. Slice the red pepper and place on a plate and mircowave for about 2 minutes, this makes it warm and delicious iwth the other foods

  4. Preheat  pan with oil on high heat.

  5. Place the tuna in the pan and add a little sauce as well, cook the tune for 2 minutes each side, turn the heat down a little and cook a bit more, while the sauce evaporating and the steak become brown and crispy.

  6.  Discard any remaining marinade.

  7. Plate the food up and sprinkle the feta cheese over the warm mushrooms so it slightly melts.
