Fresh pina colada

(makes 3 servings)


  • 1 pineapple

  • 1 banana

  • 1 cup water

  • 3 cups pineapple juice

  • 1.5 cups coconut cream



  1. Chop the end and sides of the pineapple and discard the middle, then chop the flesh into chunks, place in a bag and freeze overnight

  2. Peel the banana, chop into pieces and freeze overnight too

  3. The next day when you are ready to make the drink add the frozen fruit along with the rest of the ingredients to a blender

  4. I have to do this in 2 batches as my blender is not big enough to do it all in one go

  5. Blend on high until smooth and creamy

  6. You can add an extra cup of pineapple juice instead of the cup of water, but I find it can be a bit too sweet, try it out and see what you prefer

  7. Serve in glasses with garnishing’s of your choice, such as raspberries, cherries and pineapple pieces

  8. Enjoy!
